Douglas E Powell and his band Central Casting bring their alt-folk-country acoustic sound and insightful lyrics to the Landmark Pavilion this month. Douglas, who lives in North Devon, plays music that gives an occasional nod to alt-country – think jangly guitars, mouth organ with the odd bursts of tambourine – yet also draws upon English folk influences and the acoustic singer songwriter tradition.
